Step 1

Divide the pizza dough into roughly 3oz balls of dough and roll the pizza dough into a thin oval and layer. If you're not able to make an oval by rolling the dough freehand, then use a pizza cutter to cut your dough into an oval shape. Once rolled, add on a base layer of mozzarella cheese leaving space on all sides.

Notes

Additional Allergens: Dairy: use a dairy-free substitution for cheese or omit cheese. If the outer layer rips, cheese will come out and cause the tallow/oil it's fried in to pop up. I recommend having a long handled stainless steel spider spatula or a stainless steel round skimmer to increase distance between you and the hot cooking oil. If the cheese begins popping, don't panic, just calmly remove it from the oil and the popping will stop!

Make sure dough is thin enough. May need to add water and flour to help stick and fold together. Also make sure oil is right temp if too hot will cook the outside dough and be doughy inside. Take out of oil when looks crispy dark brownish
