I made these for the first time a couple weeks ago, and they didn’t turn out quite as I was hoping. Not due to anything with the recipe, but just due to my inexperience. The texture was a denser than I think it was supposed to be. The flavor was good though! I’ve never made any type of rolls or buns before, so this is all new to me. I’m only a month into my Celiac diagnosis, and I’m so thankful for your app! It’s been a life saver! Baking cookies is definitely my comfort zone lol!! I’m completely intimidated by any types of bread, so I know there will be a big learning curve. But I’m going to try making them again this weekend and see how I do. Hoping to keep improving each time I make them!

Did you mix the dough until it was fluffy? I’d try mixing longer. Also, make sure your yeast is proofed and happy before using it. That should help with dense breads.

I didn’t mix it until it was fluffy! I’ll try mixing it longer next time. That’s probably what it was. The yeast was definitely proofed before I used it. So I’ll try mixing longer. I also just mixed by hand - should I use my Kitchen Aid instead?

I've been making these for awhile now and they are definitely on my top favorite list. Sometimes I use psylium powder that is not whole (use half the amount) and I blend the liquid ingredients together before adding the dry ingredients. It makes the softest buns and so delicious. My dough is usually more wet, so not the best shaped buns.
